Bang Bang
pic:missionmission
I am usually not one for ironic clothing or Gun violence, definitely and firmly opposed to that , however these shoes are the serious ghettofab, hookerheelish deliciousness. Apparently available right here in San Francisco at the local low-end shoes mart . hmmm, if only they made knife shoes....

S.F. MOMA 75th anniversary - Part 2
Thing I love most about the MOMA is that it is a concentrated source of inspiration. Whenever I go, I bring my camera and my notebook. Behind every corner lies a moment that I want to capture. Mostly what I see cannot be conveyed but only felt in the moment. I believe that the spirit of the artists and the message of what they were wishing to get across to us, their audience, is contained in these works. All we have to do is look, listen and mostly feel. I like to allow that and I am grateful for the opportunity to be in their presence.
After all this here I am
Ragged stockings
torn lacy things
this is my image
i am frozen
my body
open
untouchable
all things decay
fall apart
false paper mache
plastic flower crown
remains
endless parade
does this
me
naked
splayed
mean a thing ?
Green on the inside
with edges dipped in blood
white slashed
and ragged
in here
we are imperfect
yet
wholly loved

SF MOMA - 75th anniversary
One of the best things I did last year, amongst many, was purchasing a membership at the SF MOMA. I spent many afternoons there sipping coffee, visiting exhibits ( Frida Kahlo, Richard Avedon, Robert Frank, William Kentridge, Georgia O'Keefe) and even participating in projects ( Jochen Gerz , I Want You and Thursday Beer Salon ).
This year the museum is celebrating 75 years of bringing Modern Art to San Francisco and the world. These are pictures from the member party on Friday.
Thank you SF MOMA, looking forward to the 100th anniversary!

Blogs I LOVE
okay so this is me and my horrible self-portraiture - I was at the Woodstock anniversary in the park in October . I didn't make it the whole way through. I had some excellent cookies and everything got intense - color, sound, i made a retreat. I am wearing a feathered headband I made. I was so excited about it because i got to live out my Indian princess fantasy just a little bit.
This leads me to one of my favorite blogs style like u . I LOVE this blog. It's a trip into the closets and homes of people some stylish, some are hmmm, but all are interesting. If you have not seen this site, you must go there. You will not be disappointed. Even the fucking RZA did a video, really, he showed his karate posters!
So , relating back to my feathered headress, this lady Chase Cohl. She makes amazing headresses and jeweled headbands. I have to tip my feathers to her and her inspirational vision. Brava.

Frank Herbert Rocks ! - put your finger in the box
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
-Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear.

Frank Herbert author of Dune. To say he is one of the greatest science fiction writers ever is an understatement. I have a minor obsession with the book Dune. All of life's answers can be found there, or at least some really great quotes .
Part of my life plan is to write science fiction adn if i can write 1/10th as well as Mr. Herbert did then it will be amazing.

The Lady in The Leather Cape
I took this picture last month. I was vending at the Art Murmur with my friend Mia, pictured here working on her earring display.
The lady next to her has on an amazing leather cape. May be the best I have seen up close. I LOVE capes. She is also a great artist who makes animal linocuts.
More on this later, including Art Murmur. I have a bunch of pictures from that evening I haven't posted yet! I'm off to the flea market on my bike, treasure hunting!!
